Had to try out my new stamp and I thought it would look nice with some gold embossing. Yeay, it turned out great! Thought that teal would be a nice combo to the gold, so added some distress ink for the background. Then addeded some gold hearts to finish it off.

I believe you don't need a certain day to tell the ones you love that you love them. You should say it every chance you get! But to many people Valentines day is special and this card was inspired by that day and all the challenges with the heart and Love theme.

First card with My new mama elephant stamps, here combined with the sweet boy with a heart by Phunnyface. Coloured with prisma pencils and the background is distress ink.

Happy new year

A new year has begun. I hope it will be a good year that brings more undrstanding, Love and peace to the world. 

Here I will show you two different Happy new year cards that I made.

Warm wishes

I finally got to see some friends for some papercrafting the other day. I tried the whole autum to join them but with a one-year-old at home there were always something else getting in the way at the last minute. So I was so happy to see them and to create. I had some new dies waiting to be used. This is one of them and I think it is so pretty. I have used Wink of Stella on the trees and the deer but the shimmer doesnt show on the photo. It is so difficult to take good photos when its hardly any daylight this time of the year. That' why I'm postningen three photos :-)

Sad news

I got the sad news the other day that an old friend had breast cancer and was going through surgery. We were good friends in school but had not seen eachother for many years now. I really wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking and praying for her.
I tought the cute angel from Skaparkällarn would be a good image for the card and I colored it with prisma color pencils. I kept it Clean and simple, the way I like it.

My oldest friend got married in september and this is the card I made her. I like the effect of a boxcard. I made the pattern on the panels using a stencil and perfect perarls. It turned out really nice.

Twist and pop card

A friend turned 40 last week and this weekend she had a great party to celebrate. We were some friends who had gathered for a present and I made this card to go with it. A really fun card to make.

One layer card

I have not been so good at blogging my cards lately, the few I have manager to do.... But now I had an idea in my head that I really wanted to try out, so here is finally something new from me :-)

I used my new happy birthday die on masking tape and used the diecut as a mask. I then inked over it with distress ink. Splattered some water on it to make it more interesting. I am very happy with how it turned out. I think it's a happy card and the colours make me think of springtime.

Cute little penguine

A cute little penguine is on this birthday card today.

New stamps

I know it's many months to next ramadan but I bought new stamps and I wanted to try them right away. My boyfriend is a muslim so I thought it would be nice to have some stamps for muslim holidays as well as my christian ones.

So here is a card for ramadan. I masked off a part of the card and then used green distress ink over the stamped image and sentiment. I then sprayed perfect pearls gold over it to make it shimmer beautifully. It's difficult to take good photos of shimmer so I post a couple of photos. 

Ramadan is the month when the quaran started to come to Mohammed. That's why I enter the card in Less is more's challenge this week.

I love you

It's fathers day here in sweden on sunday. It will be the first one we celebrate for my dear man as he became dad to our precious son in august. I don't get much time to do cards theese days due to the little one but I have time to search the internet for inspiration. I found a cool technique with embossing folders that I wanted to try out. So when I finally got some time to create I decided to try this technique for two fathers day cards, one for my father and one for my sons father. 

The technique is to ink up a piece of watercolor paper, I used distress ink. Then spray a embossing folder with water on one side and press that side on the paper. The water will pick upp some of the ink and leave the folders pattern on the paper. 

The pink one didn't turn out the way it was supposed to but I liked it and think it makes a cool background. The sentiment says I love you.

A quick card

Sometimes you really need a card like now and you don't have any in your stash that you like. Then you need to make a really quick one.This is such a card. I need a birthday card tomorrow morning and not much time with a newborn to make on. So here it is made with distress ink and dies. The word says congratulations in swedish. 

He is here!

It's been really quiet here in the blog for a while. That's because there has been a lot of other things in focus. I have been pregnant and five weeks ago our amazing son finally arrived. He is gorgeous and life will never be the same again. It will be greater. 

This babyboy wants to be close to mom all the time so I don't get much time to do anything else really. But the other day I could get startled on the Thank You cards for those who have congratulated us. It's very clean and simple but that was all I could do with a little baby sleeping om my chest.

40th birthday

It's summer and it means not much time for card-making. It's too hot for it and I spend most time outside. I'm also pregnant, due in three weeks which is very exciting. So it's a lot of preparing for the new baby.
But I want to share a card that I made for my sister-in-law in the beginning of the summer. She turned 40 and had a huge party. When my brother turned 40 last year a made a watercolour portrait on his card so I wanted to do one on hers too. The card was very appreciated which was fun. It's painted with distress ink.

Roses

In a magazine I recently got some layering stamps from Altenew. It's roses and leaves. This is the first card I made with them. I will definitly need more practise with them but for a first try I think it turned out ok.

Mothers day

In sweden it's mother's day on sunday this week. My mother is away at our summer house so I wanted to make her a sweet card to send. A few weeks back my parents was on holiday in USA. When they came back the had brought me prisma colour pencils as a gift. Yeah, they are the best! I wanted to try out my new pencils on this card. For beeing my first try I am happy with it.

So here is my mother's day card with a cute Wryn image.
I couldn't decide which picture was the best so I post them all, and a close-up on the image :-)

Orange and kraft

Wanted to make a birthday card with kraft and white. I felt it got a bit to white so I went with my favoriter colour on the cardstock instead; orange. To match that I also paited the Stamped flower with orange.

Bear-hug

This is also a digistamp from Skapar-källarn. I have cut him out and put him on a piece of kraft paper. The sentiment says "Hug" in Swedish.

Party-hen

The first time a saw this great digistamp from Skapar-Källarn I fell in love with it and had to buy it right away. I think the card screams " Let's celebrate! " and that a sentiment wasn't needed. 

I have coloured the image with distress ink. 

This is a card that makes me smile :-)
